Overwatch devs confirm major jump bug won’t be fixed for weeks

Overwatch players are currently experiencing a bug that stops them from jumping, and unfortunately, a solution doesn’t appear to be coming quickly.

It’s incredibly frustrating when a new issue pops up in Overwatch – whether it’s with a major update, a small patch, or even a bug fix. Because how the game performs often determines whether you win or lose, any problem can be a real setback.

We’ve discovered a bug that’s making it difficult to jump in the game, which is a key part of gameplay. We’re working on a fix, but it will likely take a few weeks to roll out.

Overwatch devs reveal 2-week wait for Jump bug fix

The official Overwatch team announced on X (formerly Twitter) that they’ve fixed a bug in Season 2 that was causing issues with custom keybind settings. The fix is available now on PC and will be released for console players shortly. However, this fix is separate from the ongoing issue with the jumping bug.

Players are consistently finding they can’t jump in the game whenever the scoreboard is visible, regardless of which character they’re using.

According to Overwatch Game Director Aaron Keller, the team is aware of the jump bug and is working on a fix. They expect to release a full patch addressing the issue in approximately two weeks.

The developers are working on a fix for the jumping issue, and it will likely be included in a future update with other improvements. However, players experiencing this problem will need to be patient. Until the fix is released, it’s important to choose your characters carefully, as not being able to jump could lead to losing the game.
