Final Destination 7 Release Date Set After Part 6’s Blockbuster Success

Following the recent success of Final Destination: Bloodlines and its impressive box office numbers, Warner Bros. has confirmed a seventh installment in the Final Destination series. Fans will be pleased to hear that another film is on its way to theaters sooner than anticipated, continuing the franchise’s current resurgence.

Final Destination 7 release date set by Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. announced that the next Final Destination movie will come out on May 12, 2028. They made the announcement at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

The announcement came with a big update to the studio’s upcoming film schedule, which now includes projects planned through late 2028. It appears the studio is hoping this movie will be a key part of their summer horror releases, building on the success and positive response to ‘Bloodlines,’ the newest film in the series after a fourteen-year gap.

Lori Evans Taylor, who helped write the previous Final Destination film, is expected to write the script for Final Destination 7. So far, no director has been chosen for the movie. The same producers as before – Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Jon Watts, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich – are all returning for this installment, with Warren Zide serving as executive producer.

The recent success of Final Destination: Bloodlines is driving plans for another sequel. The film, directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein from a story by Jon Watts, had a very strong opening weekend, earning $51 million in the US – the best ever for the series. It has now made over $285 million worldwide, bringing the franchise’s total earnings to $983 million. This makes Final Destination New Line Cinema’s third most profitable horror series, following The Conjuring and It.

Final Destination 6 surprised viewers by including a prequel element, showing a terrifying event from 1969. Although details about the seventh film are still secret, the return of a familiar actor hints that the story will continue in a way fans will enjoy.

Warner Bros. has also scheduled releases for several other films, including Evil Dead Wrath, The Revenge of La Llorona, and a new Ocean’s movie starring Margot Robbie (according to Variety).
