He receives a call from scientist Sandy Clarkson, who explains a dangerous leak is threatening the ice sheet in Greenland. Enraged, Cruise threatens consequences for those responsible. He meets with the president, played by John Goodman, who demands to know how the situation escalated. Millions could be displaced due to mistakes made by Cruise’s company during oil exploration. A fast-paced montage follows, featuring quotes from Cruise’s grandfather and glimpses of other actors like Sandra Huller, Jesse Plemmons, and Riz Ahmed. In a shocking turn, the president orders a bomb to be dropped on the ice. Cruise, appearing confident, states that there’s more to the story.
