Things took a surprising turn in Mississauga, Ontario this morning when around 40 people showed up, and vehicles started joining them.

On April 11th, a large group of people lined up outside a Costco at 6:45 AM, eager to buy the new Pokémon card set, Prismatic Evolutions. This information comes from Pokestreets, a social media account known for sharing unusual stories about Pokémon card collecting.
In the midst of the chaos, someone spilled coffee all over a cart containing boxes of cards.

After that, a car struck the cart, scattering the cards everywhere. The car then drove over them, and a crowd quickly formed, scrambling to pick up the cards. The driver sped away, but the police later caught up with them.
Police were already at the location. According to Pokestreets, some officers pursued the vehicle, and it was towed soon after.
It’s not clear if the driver was arrested or if they’re facing charges.
Arguments and even fights over Pokémon cards happen regularly, but this recent incident is one of the strangest we’ve ever heard about.
