The Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island Plus Pack is yet another testament to their dedication to enriching gaming experiences.
In August 2024 during the Japanese Nintendo Direct presentation, Spike Chunsoft announced a new DLC expansion for the game “Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island.” This expansion will be called the “Plus Pack,” and players will only have to purchase it once for 1,980 yen (approximately $16.35 USD) in Japan. Over time, this pack will deliver new content to the game in two distinct updates.
On the game’s official Japanese website, the company has provided information about the upcoming DLC pack. The first segment is set to launch on September 5th and introduces Koppa as a new character. Unlike other characters, Koppa can’t use gear or inflict damage with attacks. Instead, players will have to strategize using Koppa’s swift movement and special abilities such as Stink Bomb or Hole-Digging to combat monsters. The second segment, scheduled for October 31st, will introduce Asuka, a female warrior, to the roster of playable characters.
Every section includes five distinct dungeons, making a grand total of ten. Each dungeon comes with exclusive regulations. One of these dungeons occasionally shuffles your inventory upon entering a new level. Another emphasizes trap-setting and allows your character to temporarily transform into a beast.
