First Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Images & Footage Revealed

Sony reveals first Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse images and footage

At CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas, Sony Pictures showed off the first clips and pictures from Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. The film’s creators – Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Bob Persichetti, and Justin K. Thompson – were there to talk about the movie, which is the exciting conclusion to the Spider-Verse trilogy. Sony also shared some new photos giving fans a better look at both familiar and new characters.

The studio showed the audience the beginning of the new movie. It starts right after the end of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, showing Prowler observing Miles before being unexpectedly attacked.

Miles wakes up to his uncle trying to persuade him to let him leave. He then unexpectedly meets another version of himself – a Prowler from a different universe. This alternate Miles is working with Uncle Aaron, and they both find it amusing when Miles explains what a fixed point in time is. Miles starts to feel unstable and tells them he doesn’t want to harm them before using his powers to get away.

The trailer then shows a fast-paced series of clips featuring Miles fighting, along with a quick, touching moment between him and Gwen. Spider-Ham makes a return, carrying Peter B. Parker’s baby, while Spider-Gwen looks on. We also see a glimpse of Spider-People from many different universes all together. Miles’ mother tells him she’s proud of how strong he is, and the sequence ends with the film’s logo. This movie will finish the story we’ve been following with Miles Morales, but the Spider-Verse franchise will continue with other animated projects.

Amy Pascal has hinted that Miles Morales could appear in a live-action movie after the current animated trilogy finishes. The next film, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is scheduled for release on June 18, 2027. Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson are directing, and Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, and Jinko Gotoh are producing the movie.
