Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 focuses on realistic details beyond just staying alive. Players need to eat and sleep, but also maintain their hygiene – getting dirty can have consequences in important situations.
Staying clean is important in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. While washing at a trough helps, visiting a bathhouse is much more effective after a tough battle. This guide will show you what bathhouses offer and where to find the most useful ones in both regions of the game.
What Are Bathhouses For in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?
Bathhouses are places where you can pay to take a bath. A proper bath cleans you much better than just washing in a trough, so you’ll stay clean longer. They also offer a service to thoroughly wash your clothes and armor – something you’d normally only be able to do at a laundry with soap in KCD2.
Many bathhouses offer a special service: a short, one-hour romantic encounter with a bathmaid. It’s more expensive, but it leaves you feeling refreshed and gives you the “Time Well Spent” buff, which temporarily boosts your Strength, Agility, and Vitality by 1.
Why Bother Washing?
How clean you are greatly impacts how characters in the game react to you. Being clean usually means people will be friendly and helpful. If you’re dirty, they’ll likely notice and comment on it. Really poor hygiene could lead to some characters refusing to help you or even speak to you at all.
Not staying clean will give you the ‘Reeky’ debuff, which makes it much harder to sneak around because NPCs can find you just by your smell. To avoid this, simply take a bath or wash up at a trough.
Bathhouse Locations in KCD2
Bathhouses are plentiful in both the Trosky and Kuttenberg areas, though Kuttenberg has many more due to its size. The cost of using them will be fairly consistent, and if you’re good at earning money quickly in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you likely won’t have any trouble affording them.
You’ll find bathhouses marked on your map and compass with either a perfume bottle or bathtub icon. If you want to see both world maps completely without doing a lot of running around, get the Explorer perk in the Scholarship skill tree. However, keep in mind that this might spoil the fun of discovering things on your own if you enjoy traditional exploration.

You’ll get around the world by riding in a carriage. Keep in mind that some places might be closed off depending on how far you are in the story.
