‘Jurassic World 4’ Adds ‘Diarra From Detroit’ Actor Béchir Sylvain (EXCLUSIVE)

As a film enthusiast with a soft spot for diverse representation, I’m absolutely thrilled to see Béchir Sylvain joining the stellar cast of the upcoming “Jurassic World” installment! This Haitian-American actor has been making waves with his captivating performances in series like “BMF,” “Black Summer,” and “Diarra From Detroit.”

Actor Béchir Sylvain, known for his roles in “Diarra From Detroit” and “Black Summer”, is set to join the illustrious ensemble of Universal’s upcoming sequel in the “Jurassic World” series.

The dinosaur movie directed by Gareth Edwards is penned by David Koepp, who also wrote “Jurassic Park” and its sequel “The Lost World”. This film features a star-studded cast that includes Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Mahershala Ali, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Audrina Miranda.

Since the release of Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster “Jurassic Park” in 1993, Universal and Amblin Entertainment have collaborated to produce six movies that have grossed over $6 billion globally. The upcoming movie, marking a new chapter for the “Jurassic World” series after the cross-generational finale of the original storyline with “Jurassic World Dominion” in 2022, is scheduled to hit theaters on July 2, 2025.

Steven Spielberg is back as an executive producer for the upcoming film from Amblin, teaming up with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley in their producing role. They work under Kennedy-Marshall’s banner. Sara Scott, the Executive Vice President of production development at Universal, and Jacqueline Garell, a creative executive in the same department, are supervising this project for the studio.

Filming began in June, taking place at various locations such as Thailand, Malta, and the United Kingdom.

Sylvain, an actor, scriptwriter, director, and producer, has made a name for himself in various popular shows like “BMF” on Starz, “Black Summer” on Netflix, and “Diarra From Detroit” on BET+. His latest high-profile role is in the upcoming “Jurassic World” film, and he’s also joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe, taking on a secret character in Destin Daniel Cretton’s “Wonder Man” series for Disney+. Sylvain is managed by Mitchell K. Stubbs & Associates and Tash Mosely Management.
