Ruby Rose is famous for her work in popular projects like John Wick 2, Orange is the New Black, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, and as Batwoman in The CW’s TV series. She had to leave her role as Batwoman in 2020 after a stunt went wrong and she needed surgery on her back.
The actor has been less visible recently, with their latest role being a medic alongside Eva Green in the action movie, Dirty Angels.
Rose publicly accused Katy Perry of sexual assault in a post on Threads, alleging the incident happened at a Melbourne, Australia nightclub on Sunday.

On April 12, 2026, Ruby Rose publicly accused Katy Perry of sexual assault in a reply to a Threads post discussing Justin Bieber’s performance at Coachella. Rose wrote, “Katy Perry sexually assaulted me at a nightclub in Melbourne. I don’t care what her opinion is.”
Rose described a disturbing encounter allegedly involving Katy Perry. She claimed that after someone made a joke about Perry’s song ‘I Kissed a Girl,’ Perry approached her while Rose was sitting on a friend’s lap, trying to avoid her. Rose alleges Perry then pulled down her underwear and rubbed her genitals on Rose’s face, causing Rose to vomit.
The celebrity, now 40, revealed the incident happened more than ten years ago, when she was in her early twenties. She explained it took her nearly two decades to feel comfortable sharing the story publicly.
Rose also shared that after the incident, she accidentally vomited on the other person. She publicly told the story, but downplayed it as a harmless, drunken mishap because she wasn’t sure how to deal with the situation honestly. Later, this person helped her with her US visa, so she decided to keep the full truth a secret.
The actor first said she wasn’t planning to report the incident, but mentioned she had photographic evidence and that it happened in public with many witnesses. Later, after talking with others, she confirmed she had filed a police report.
Perry hasn’t spoken publicly about the claims Rose made, and it’s unclear if the police are looking into the matter.
