Publisher 101xp and developer Synthetic Domain have revealed that Lords of Ravage will be released on October 15th for PC (via Steam).
Lords of Ravage is a ‘dark tactical RPG with roguelite elements’. It was first revealed in 2022, and a complimentary introductory experience, Lords of Ravage: Dread Knights, came out earlier this year. In the game, you take on the role of one of three evil leaders, building up an army and growing their empire.

Get ready to enter a grim, strategy-focused RPG that blends roguelite gameplay with a distinctive 2.5D pixel art style. This time, you won’t be the hero – you’ll be the one causing the destruction.
About this game
I’m going to be known as the Lord of Ravage, and it feels *right*. I’ll have armies fighting under my flag, and honestly, they’ll join for all sorts of reasons. Some will be scared of what I can do, others will just want a piece of the action, and a few will actually believe in what I’m building. But let’s be real, they’re all just pieces I’ll use to get what I want. I need to find this ancient artifact – something that can actually *change* how things play out. Of course, there are ‘heroes’ trying to stop me, but I’m not worried. I’m talking serious tactics, careful planning, and absolutely brutal turn-based combat. I’m leaving nothing but ashes in my wake.
What to expect in the full version
Stories of the Damned. Experience narrative campaigns as three distinct villains, each boasting a unique history, fighting style, and set of powers. What they share is a complete lack of compassion. First, take control of Berold, a shrewd military leader known for his ruthless attacks. Then, command Zavris, a powerful sorceress dealing in dark magic, and Azneya, a demonic queen leading armies from the Abyss. Live through their journeys and become the very force that brings empires to ruin.
Turn-based battles. The game centers around turn-based combat, meaning winning fights requires careful planning and strategy. As you play, you’ll build an army. You’ll gain new soldiers by recruiting them as you go, or by purchasing them with gold earned from conquered territories and gifts from local leaders who will plead for their lives. You’ll have access to many different kinds of warriors from various groups – powerful soldiers from the Dark Alliance, and hired mercenaries like archers, battle mages, and others. Combine their attacks, improve their skills using the skill tree, and create a powerful and effective fighting force.
Threat System. Honestly, as a player, I’m loving this! Basically, everything you do matters – the Zenith Pact won’t forget your actions, especially if you’re being, well, a bit of a villain. Every time you burn a village or mess with a sacred place, you make more enemies. There’s a Threat meter that goes up the more you grab for yourself. You can play it safe and avoid trouble, but you’ll miss out on loot, or you can go wild, grab everything, and basically challenge the strongest heroes in the world to come after you. It’s a really cool risk-reward system!
The strength of old Edicts. Edicts are powerful abilities you can use whenever it’s your turn. They let you protect your warriors, make their attacks stronger, or put curses on your opponents. They can quickly change the outcome of a fight. You can find new Edicts by exploring the most distant parts of the world.
Your fortress. Every Lord of Ravage commands from a personal stronghold – the central hub of their war effort. This is where you’ll build structures, gain access to new abilities, and bolster your forces. Each faction boasts unique buildings, each offering different advantages. Building up your base is key to achieving future strength.
Numerous foes stand in your way. It’s not uncommon for people to be too stubborn to back down, and that means the Lord of Ravage constantly faces opposition from self-proclaimed heroes. These warriors, much like your own, have unique skills and powers. Fueled by anger and a determination to defeat you, fighting them will be a serious challenge.
