As a seasoned esports enthusiast with countless hours spent watching Counter-Strike matches, I can hardly contain my excitement about the BLAST Premier World Final 2024 moving to Singapore! Having attended several events hosted by BLAST and witnessed their exceptional production quality firsthand, I can confidently say that this is a monumental moment for the esports community.
In October and early November of 2024, top Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) squads from around the globe will engage in fierce competition during the prestigious BLAST Premier World Final tournament. Historically, this event took place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi for the past two years, but that’s no longer the case!
For the first time, the BLAST Premier World Final will be held in Singapore, marking a thrilling new chapter for this event. In collaboration with AEG Presents Asia, BLAST is bringing not only the BLAST Premier World Final but also the BLAST Dota Slam to Southeast Asia. The Singapore Tourism Board is supporting this exciting venture.
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement! This week, BLAST unveiled an incredible plan that aims to put Singapore on the map as a global hotspot for top-notch esports entertainment. They’re not stopping there; they also want to draw in world-class esports talent from around the globe and nurture local growth in the gaming scene. This is a massive step forward for the gaming community, and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!
BLAST’s Director of Market Development, James Woollard, explained:
We’re thrilled to announce that two massive esports games will soon be available at this lively location! Over the next 18 months, Singapore is poised to grow into a significant esports center across Southeast Asia. With the assistance of the Singapore Tourism Board, we eagerly anticipate offering extraordinary events for fans and contributing to the development of a dynamic esports community in the region.
