As a seasoned moviegoer with a heart full of nostalgia for the good old days of westerns, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at the prospect of Kevin Costner’s ‘Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1‘ gracing our screens this week. You see, I’m one of those dads who has an uncanny ability to doze off during movies, only to wake up in the third act and claim I watched the entire thing. So, you can imagine my anticipation for a series that seems tailor-made for my unique viewing habits!
For all the dads who’ve been waiting for a new Kevin Costner western, here’s some great news! “Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1” is arriving on Max this Friday, August 23rd. After a less-than-stellar performance at the box office, the initial plan to release “Chapter 1” and “Chapter 2” of Costner’s western series in quick succession didn’t quite work out. However, they’re now aiming to attract more viewers with “Chapter 1”. Fingers crossed that “Chapter 2” will secure a fresh release date soon; it’s set to premiere on September 7th at the Venice International Film Festival. If all goes well, we might even see “Chapter 3” and “Chapter 4” in the future!
