As a seasoned gamer with a heart full of nostalgia, the news about Atari releasing yet another classic console replica has left me absolutely thrilled! I remember spending countless hours on my Atari 7800 back in the day, and now they’re bringing it back with the Atari 7800+. The price tag of $130 is reasonable, especially considering the wireless CX78+ gamepad and a copy of Bentley Bear’s Crystal Quest that comes along with it.
As a longtime gamer with fond memories of playing Atari games during my childhood, I am thrilled to hear that they are releasing another cartridge-based replica of one of their classic home consoles – this time, it’s the Atari 7800+. Last holiday season, I was fortunate enough to add the Atari 2600+ to my collection, and now I am eagerly anticipating getting my hands on the 7800+ this upcoming holiday.
To clarify, the Atari 7800+ came out following the 2023 launch of the Atari 2600+. It’s worth noting that the 2600+ is capable of playing 7800+ games as well. Therefore, if you already have the 2600+, there’s no necessity for you to buy the 7800+. You can easily find the Atari 2600+ on Amazon priced at $130.
