How to do a Fantasy Draft in Madden 25

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of Madden under my belt, I can wholeheartedly say that the fantasy draft feature in Madden 25 Franchise is a game-changer. It’s like stepping into the war room at the NFL Draft, but with a little more control and a lot less pressure.

In the game Madden 25, you have an option to set up a fantasy draft class to construct a league where each team’s roster is randomly generated. When you perform a fantasy draft in Madden 25, it refreshes the league by starting a new round of player selection for every team. Unfortunately, not everyone might be familiar with this feature. So, here’s our simple guide on how to conduct a fantasy draft in Madden 25 within the Franchise mode. Without any more delays, let’s dive into the drafting process!

To start a fantasy draft in Madden 25 Franchise, the player must:

  • Enter the Franchise Menu and create a new league
  • Create an Online or Offline league
  • When selecting a Roster type, select Roster File
    • This is the only option that allows you to start with a Fantasy Draft
  • After selecting your team, select the “STARTING POINT” option – located under “More options” and above “Change Role”
  • Select Fantasy Draft

Upon launching the Madden 25 main interface, navigate to the ‘Franchise’ section and establish a fresh league setup. You’ll be delighted to know that you can either opt for an online or offline league. But if you wish to collaborate with friends, you’ll need to create an online league.

To enjoy a Fantasy Draft, always pick “Roster File” when choosing your rosters. This is the sole option that provides access to a Fantasy Draft. So, whether you’re using the latest rosters or ones you’ve downloaded from the creation center, just make sure you’re selecting the roster suitable for your specific league.

Once you’ve chosen your team, you will be presented with a last menu before the league is formed. Here, you can modify your coach, league settings, and other aspects. What we want you to focus on though, is the “Starting Point”. Opt for that choice and pick “Fantasy Draft”. Now, you’ll initiate your league in the Fantasy Draft stage.

When you start playing the league, it won’t immediately put you into the drafting phase. Instead, you’ll get a chance to invite friends, review your draft position, and other details. It’s essential to understand that in Madden 25’s Fantasy Draft, the order is not based on real-life NFL draft orders. So, choosing the Bears doesn’t guarantee a top pick every time. In fact, each playthrough has its unique randomized draft order.

When you’re all set, kick off your creation and enjoy the process! Remember, there are no hard-and-fast rules in fantasy drafts – feel free to select top players, focus on offense or defense, or strive for a balanced team. Unfortunately, trades during the draft aren’t an option; each team has to start fresh. If you’re a Madden 25 novice, don’t forget to hit pause on the draft timer. This should provide enough time to understand how the system operates.
