People Think A New Dying Light Is Being Teased For Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024

As a seasoned Dying Light fan who has survived countless nights of the undead apocalypse, I can hardly contain my excitement for tomorrow’s Gamescom Opening Night Live! The teaser from Geoff Keighley about “The Beast” coming has sent shivers down my spine and left me yearning for more.

If you’re a fan of Dying Light, mark your calendars for August 20th! During Gamescom Opening Night Live, host Geoff Keighley has been hinting at a possible new installment in the zombie video game series. This intrigue is heightened by a recent filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office.

As a passionate fan, I’d like to share an exciting piece of news: In a recent post, Keighley unveiled a captivating one-minute live-action video with the caption “The Beast Is Coming.” Notably, Keighley emphasizes “The Beast” as the USPTO website reveals a trademark application for Dying Light: The Beast, submitted on August 12.

🕹️ Here I am, ready for action! Don’t miss out on the upcoming reveal at the @gamescom Opening Night Live event tomorrow. It’s happening at 11a PT / 2p ET / 8p EST. Mark your calendars and set a reminder on YouTube to catch it live! The mystery of “The Beast” is about to be unveiled, and I can hardly wait! 🕹️

Initially, the trailer depicts a woman enjoying herself in a forest for about half of it. However, the mood swiftly changes to something more ominous and violent in the second half. Towards the end, she pleads, “Please, help me,” just as she’s being pulled away. When someone from X expressed dislike towards live-action trailers, Keighley replied with a witty remark: “Then I’d definitely catch your attention.”

Previously, series director Tymon SmektaĹ‚a posed a query on platform X about what fans hoped to find in a hypothetical Dying Light 3. It’s important to note that this was not an official confirmation of a sequel, but rather a casual poll. The most recent addition to the franchise is Dying Light 2: Staying Alive, which hit the shelves in early 2022.

Tomorrow during Gamescom Opening Night Live, scheduled for 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET, we can expect appearances from Dying Light (alongside other titles), Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. However, Geoff Keighley has confirmed that Hollow Knight: Silksong will not be a part of this event.
