Spectre Divide - Console (Xbox, PS5, PS4) Release

As a veteran gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the anticipation for Spectre Divide has been palpable within our community. The prospect of diving into this visually captivating shooter is truly enticing. However, as someone who’s had their fair share of console-PC release delays, I find myself in a familiar position: patiently waiting.

Are you excited about the latest closed beta testing of Spectre Divide, the new cartoonish shooter game? You’re definitely not alone! There are two primary methods to gain access: Twitch drops or Steam requests. Both options are only available for PC gamers at this moment. Unfortunately, console players cannot participate yet and will have to wait a considerable amount of time before they can join in the action.

Spectre Divide – Console (Xbox, PS5, PS4) Release

If you’re eager to play Spectre Divide on your console, I regret to inform you that you might need a bit of patience, and by “a bit”, we mean quite a significant amount. The developers have mentioned in their FAQ on the official Discord channel that console versions are being planned, but they will only be released after the PC version has been launched. However, at this point, it’s unclear which platforms will receive the ports.

Will there be console versions or controller support?

Initially, we’ll only release the game on PC. However, we have plans to bring console versions and controller support after the initial launch.

When might we get the console versions? It’s tricky to predict since we don’t have a release date for the PC version yet. The console ports could take some time due to factors like popularity and optimalization on computers. In the worst-case scenario, we could be waiting for years. Here’s hoping that won’t happen, as developers would likely aim to attract a large playerbase across multiple platforms quickly. Time will be an essential factor in this regard.

For now, it is the best to follow game’s social media and forums to read all news from developers.
