Police arrested eight people after a large group of teenagers took over a trampoline park in Florida, following a trend seen in popular TikTok videos.
Wow, things got crazy at the Urban Air Trampoline Park in Brandon, Florida last Saturday, March 21st! It sounds like a huge group of kids just flooded the place and it was total chaos. I can’t believe it happened there!
Okay, so here’s what happened: apparently, a ton of teenagers – like, hundreds – showed up at this place, totally swamped it, and even spilled out into the parking lot. It got so crazy they had to shut down early. The Sheriff’s Office was there dealing with it all.
A week after the incident, police released bodycam footage showing the scene from an officer’s perspective. The video depicts three officers taking a teenager into custody.

A body camera recording from one of the officers captured their arrival at the park. A staff member, wearing a bright shirt, led them through the building, which was filled with shouting teenagers.
He asked if I could come with him. His manager needed someone to check on the trampolines, and they were heading over there now.
Police repeatedly told a group of teenagers to leave, but some refused. This led to eight of them being arrested for trespassing.
So, Urban Air put out a statement the day after the incident. Basically, they said keeping guests safe is their number one concern and they were just relieved nobody got injured. It felt a little like damage control, honestly, but that’s what they said.
Teenage TikTok ‘takeovers’ wreak havoc on local businesses
This event was part of a series of planned disruptions at Urban Air parks nationwide, following similar incidents in Ohio and Georgia earlier in March.
Urban Air stated that they did not plan or advertise a teen night at their Toledo, Ohio location when a large, disruptive group gathered there on Saturday, March 7th. According to Urban Air, an unapproved ‘teen takeover’ event was falsely promoted online, leading people to believe a gathering was officially hosted by the park. This resulted in an unexpected and disruptive number of attendees.
Urban Air is dedicated to keeping our guests safe and providing a fun, family-friendly environment. We appreciate the community’s support and will continue to be a place where families can have a great and secure time.
Officials believe the incident was caused by a TikTok trend where teenagers organize to flood public spaces, like parks and malls. These planned gatherings, organized on social media, have been happening for several years.
In May 2025, a group of over 300 teenagers caused a disturbance in New Jersey by shutting down a carnival they had paid to enter. They then moved to a nearby mall, creating chaos that forced stores to close and protect customers, even with police already on the scene.
This was the second time the mall had experienced a disruptive incident, which angered the town’s mayor and prompted calls for action. As a result, many stores now require anyone under 18 to be accompanied by an adult.
