How to fix 120 FPS not working in Wuthering Waves

On my system, which boasts an AMD RX 6800 XT GPU paired with an Intel i7-12700k CPU, I’ve been able to effortlessly boost my FPS to 120. However, some players have found that this option isn’t available for them, even though their device is supposed to support it. If you’re facing the same issue, don’t worry – the developers have acknowledged the problem and are actively working on a solution.

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve come across various workarounds to optimize game performance. One such trick I’d like to share is for Wuthering Waves. Some players have reported success in enabling 120 FPS, and I’ve decided to give it a try myself. Here’s how you can do it:

  • Download DB Browser on your PC (select the “DB Browser for SQLite – .zip (no installer) for 64-bit Windows”).
  • Extract the folder and then click on the DB Browser for SQLite.exe file.
  • Select Open Database from the top of the screen.
  • Go to the game directory and open Wuthering Waves Game>Client>Saved>LocalStorage. Select the LocalStorage.db file inside.
  • Click on Browse Data at the top of the screen, scroll down to CustomFrameRate, and change the value to 120.
  • Go to Close Database on the top of the screen to close the application. Congratulations, your game will now run on 120 FPS.
