Crunchyroll is making its anime library available to more fans around the world through a new partnership. As the leading anime streaming service outside of Japan, Crunchyroll is constantly working to meet the increasing global demand for both older favorites and the latest episodes as they air.
According to CBR, Crunchyroll is now built right into the Apple TV app, potentially reaching millions more viewers in various countries. This makes it easier for people to watch and helps Crunchyroll stand out in the crowded streaming market, where big tech companies are constantly competing for viewers.
Crunchyroll Expands to Apple TV With Massive Library Access
Now, Crunchyroll is available on the Apple TV app for viewers in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK. This means you can subscribe directly through Apple TV, so you don’t need to download a separate app. It’s now easier than ever to watch anime within the Apple TV interface you already know.
Honestly, one of the things I love most about this platform is its incredible library! They’ve got over 1,000 different anime titles, adding up to almost 25,000 hours of content. If you do the math, that’s around 50,000 episodes – seriously, decades of anime history are right there! And the best part? They offer both subtitled and dubbed versions, so everyone can find something they’ll enjoy, no matter how they like to watch.
I’ve noticed Crunchyroll isn’t just on Apple TV anymore. They’re still available on lots of devices – you can find them on Amazon Fire TV, Roku, and Samsung smart TVs, for example. They’ve also started offering a free streaming option with ads, a channel that runs all the time, here in the U.S. I’ve seen it on platforms like Freevee, LG Channels, and The Roku Channel.
New Simulcasts, Exclusives, and Subscription Options Drive Growth
Crunchyroll is valuable not only because of how many anime shows and movies it offers, but also because it quickly releases new episodes soon after they premiere in Japan. Some exciting upcoming shows for the Winter and Spring 2026 seasons include the third season of Fire Force, the second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, and Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game.
Popular returning shows like Hell’s Paradise Season 2, Oshi no Ko Season 3, and Dark Moon: The Blood Altar add even more strength to Crunchyroll’s current selection. These shows, available almost immediately after their release in Japan, make Crunchyroll a leading service for watching the latest anime worldwide.
The platform is still investing in original anime series, like Daemons of the Shadow Realm by Studio BONES and Solo Leveling from A-1 Pictures. These shows appeal to existing anime fans and also draw in new viewers, as anime based on popular comics and online novels are consistently topping streaming charts.
Crunchyroll offers three different subscription plans to fit various needs. The Fan plan costs $9.99 a month and lets you watch without ads on one device. For $13.99 a month, the Mega Fan plan adds the ability to download shows for offline viewing, access to games, and lets you stream on up to four devices at the same time.
The most expensive plan, the Ultimate Fan tier, costs $17.99 a month and includes streaming on up to six devices, a yearly merchandise package, and access to extras like the Crunchyroll Game Vault and the Manga app. With a library of over 100 manga titles, Crunchyroll is becoming a central hub for anime and everything related to it.
