As a seasoned gamer with decades of virtual basketball under my belt, I must admit, the inclusion of WNBA players in NBA 2K has been a long-awaited and much appreciated change. Seeing Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese grace the cover of NBA 2K25 is nothing short of exhilarating!


As NBA 2K25 by 2K Sports draws nearer, here’s a sneak peek at some well-known sports personalities from the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).

Two images were shared on the NBA 2K X/Twitter account, featuring Caitlin Clark, a standout player for the Indiana Fever. This talented athlete has been one of the breakthrough stars this season and was the first pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. In May alone, she was honored as Rookie of the Month.

In simple terms, Angel Reese has gained recognition as a standout newcomer this season. She’s currently part of the Chicago Sky team and was selected seventh overall in the 2024 draft. Furthermore, she was awarded Rookie of the Month for her exceptional performance in June.

It’s also worth mentioning that having the WNBA in the 2K series is still fairly new. The league was barely added to the game just a few years ago in NBA 2K20.

In simple terms, NBA 2K25 is reportedly bringing a significant overhaul to its gameplay mechanics, marking one of the most substantial changes in years. Key updates include a revamped dribbling system, enhanced features for both offense and defense, as well as a feature that allows players to design and share their own custom playbooks.

2025’s edition of the popular basketball video game, NBA 2K, is slated for release on the 6th of September. This year’s version will be compatible with PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
