As a seasoned film enthusiast with a soft spot for K-pop and BTS, I am thrilled to hear about Jung Kook‘s upcoming documentary, “Jung Kook: I Am Still.” Having followed his journey since his debut with BTS, it’s fascinating to see how he’s grown as an artist and a person. The fact that this film is directed by Junsoo Park, who has worked closely with the group, adds a layer of authenticity that I can’t wait to experience.

BTS member Jung Kook is preparing to unveil a new documentary titled “Jung Kook: I Am Still” globally on September 18. This film, described as a video diary, chronicles his eight-month journey leading up to his solo debut.

As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share my insights about an upcoming film titled “Jung Kook: I Am Still,” directed by the talented Junsoo Park. Notably, Park has been at the helm of many films centering around BTS and its eight exceptional members, all under the auspices of Big Hit Music, the South Korean record label that’s home to this global phenomenon. This captivating documentary will grace our screens on September 18, with exclusive screenings in more than 120 countries and regions worldwide, making it a truly global event for BTS fans like myself.

Currently, the full list of cities where the showings will take place hasn’t been revealed yet. The tickets for these events will be available starting from August 21.

In a recent press statement, Big Hit Entertainment reveals that their upcoming documentary will commence when Jung Kook unveiled “Seven,” a collaboration track with American rapper Latto, as part of his preparations for his debut solo album, “Golden.” The film promises to feature previously unreleased footage and interviews, coupled with thrilling live performances. It provides an exclusive inside look at the creative process, relentless work ethic, and unique hurdles encountered by a world-renowned artist as he embarked on his solo career. This documentary offers viewers a personal glance into Jung Kook’s path to global stardom that highlighted the zenith of his artistic talent.

The song “Seven” (featuring Latto) reached the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart, marking its debut as the lead single from the album “Golden.” This album itself entered the Billboard 200 albums chart at the second position upon its release.

Last summer, Kook shared with EbMaster that his official solo debut feels both challenging and exciting because everything seems fresh and new. While he’s always thinking about creating quality music and performances, what truly matters to him is presenting a more mature and developed side of himself as he steps into the limelight for the first time as a solo artist.
