As a seasoned Dreamlight Valley resident with years of virtual farming and friendship-building under my belt, I must say that the upcoming Dapper Delights Update leaves me positively smitten! The prospect of welcoming Tiana to our little corner of the enchanted valley is beyond exciting, and her 1920s-inspired Palace has me all aflutter.
The Dapper Delights Update, known as Update 12, is set to debut in Disney Dreamlight Valley on August 21, 2024! In this exciting new version, players will have the chance to invite Tiana into their valley. This charming character will make her entrance wearing a stunning dress inspired by the Roaring Twenties, which differs from the gowns she wore in The Princess and the Frog films.
Besides Tiana, there are more fresh elements joining our game. Alongside her, you can expect a brand-new structure as well as numerous updates to the in-game outfits and decor items.
In the upcoming Update 12 of Disney Dreamlight Valley, it’s clear that Tiana’s Palace will undoubtedly be the largest addition. It seems this expansion will introduce a second restaurant, which you can place at your convenience across your Valley. However, the potential drawback is that the structure appears quite vast, and many players’ Plazas are already well-established and fully designed.
I plan to build Tiana’s Palace in the Forest of Valor, but it could equally fit in the Glade of Trust as well.
It appears that the outdoor furniture you see next to the restaurant could be included in the upcoming Star Path feature, not necessarily belonging to the restaurant itself. This is reminiscent of how we gained access to Remy’s restaurant and had the ability to shift a table outside it using Furniture Mode.
If you haven’t decided yet on the location for Tiana’s Palace, here’s something else exciting: we’re also introducing a new food cart operated by Tiana! Unlike the existing carts in your Valley, this one specializes in fully prepared meals rather than selling ingredients, seeds, or supplies like those offered by Goofy, Kristoff, and Mulan.
As a gamer, I know from the developer’s update that I need to strengthen my bond with Tiana for the food stall. Frankly, it seems unlikely to me that such a valuable item like this one would be found at a lower Friendship Level than 10.
Besides the fresh furniture, you can also look forward to a variety of new outfits through the Star Path, set to activate on the same day as Update 12. While I wish there was more clothing available in Scrooge’s store sooner, at least we have some fashionable options arriving via the Star Path.
Needless to say, an update for DDV wouldn’t be complete without some fresh additions. Take a look at the following snapshot of what we plan to unveil on August 21st:
- Cross-platform play for PlayStation players.
- Search feature for clothing and furniture.
- Favorite or hide clothing items.
- Outfit presets – save your favorite clothing combinations!
It seems we’re in store for a fantastic upgrade aimed at enhancing quality of life, and I eagerly anticipate that other frequently demanded features will be addressed by the developers in due time.
