Dropout’s ‘Very Important People’ Sets Season 2 Premiere Date; Five New Guest Stars Join, Including Chris Redd and Paul F. Tompkins (EXCLUSIVE)

As a seasoned cinephile with a penchant for the quirky and offbeat, I must say that Dropout’s announcement of the second season premiere date for “Very Important People” has me more than just intrigued. The concept alone is a refreshing twist on traditional talk shows, and with a lineup of such talented comedians, it promises to be a rollercoaster ride of laughter and surprise.

Independent broadcaster Dropout has announced the launch date for the second season of their humorous talk show “Very Important People,” hosted by Vic Michaelis, and unveiled five fresh faces who will appear as guests in the upcoming season.

“In the show titled ‘Very Important People’, Michaelis hosts an intriguing take on a traditional talk show. Here, each guest undergoes a transformation prior to their appearance, followed by an immediate requirement to assume a unique character throughout the conversation.”

In the upcoming season 2 of “Very Important People”, we’ve secured some new faces for an impromptu chat: John Early (from “Search Party”), Kate Berlant (known for “Don’t Worry Darling”), Danielle Pinnock (“Ghosts”), Chris Redd (“Saturday Night Live”) and Paul F. Tompkins (“Bojack Horseman”).

On November 7th, Cracked’s streaming service (formerly known as CollegeHumor until its rebranding in 2023) will premiere the first episode of Season 2 for “Very Important People”. The season will feature a total of 16 episodes.

In the first half of Season 2, four actors who were previously part of Season 1 will come back to play different roles. These include Anna Garcia (from “Fly Me to the Moon”), Kimia Behpoornia (known for her work on “Abbott Elementary”), Jacob Wysocki (“Game Changer”) and Zac Oyama (“Dimension 20”).

As a die-hard fan of quality TV shows, I can’t help but be excited about Michaelis’ “Very Important People,” now streaming on Dropout! This platform has been making waves with hits like “Game Changer,” “Make Some Noise,” and “Dimension 20.” The first season of “Very Important People” aired from December 2023 to May 2024, and it’s no secret that this was one of their top priorities for Emmy consideration this year. I can hardly wait to see the results!

The series “Very Important People” is overseen by executive producers David Kerns, Sam Reich, and Michaelis. Tamar Levine, who directed all Season 2 episodes, serves as co-executive producer along with Paul Robalino and Kyle Rohrbach. Ebony Elaine Hardin plays a supervising role, while Ariel Zucker is involved as a producer.
