Food Network Sets Halloween Slate, Including ‘Baking Championship,’ Kids’ Competition ‘Scary Good’ and ‘Outrageous Pumpkins’ (EXCLUSIVE)

As a seasoned connoisseur of all things culinary and spooky, I must say that Food Network has outdone itself this year with their Halloween programming lineup! The steampunk-themed “Halloween Baking Championship” is right up my alley, and I can’t wait to see the creativity and competition unfold on Sept 16.

As we bid farewell to the sun-soaked days of summer, I find myself eagerly anticipating the chilling embrace of autumn and the arrival of Halloween on Food Network. Their spine-tingling lineup promises to bring the spooky spirit right into our homes!

Starting off my reviews, I’m diving into one of the cable network’s most anticipated annual events – “Halloween Baking Championship.” Get ready to gear up for its steampunk-themed season premiering on September 16 at 9 p.m. ET. As Food Network puts it, this series is back with even more imagination and rivalry as ten gifted bakers from all across the nation whip up breathtaking desserts inspired by the eerie ‘Henson Laboratories.’ This season will be the first for “Halloween Baking Championship” where each week, immunity is on the line!

Once again, John Henson takes on the role as host, while judges Stephanie Boswell, Carla Hall, and Zac Young resume their positions.

In continuation with the “Baking Championship” series, the spinoff titled “Kids Baking Championship” will introduce a special episode called “Scary Good” on October 7 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. The show will be hosted by Duff Goldman and Kardea Brown, featuring four popular kid bakers revisiting the contrasting aspects of Halloween – the scary and the sweet. In this competition, the young contestants will strive to create pull-apart Halloween cupcakes using one of the world’s hottest peppers. However, a surprising turn of events will put their baking tools and equipment at risk.

“Triage Entertainment is responsible for creating the shows ‘Halloween Baking Showdown’ and ‘Junior Baking Championship.'”

As a die-hard movie lover, I’m thrilled to share that starting September 22nd at 9 p.m. ET, the latest season of “Halloween Wars” is about to hit our screens! This time around, Jonathan Bennett will be back as our charismatic host, and Shinmin Li and Aarti Sequeira will join him as judges.

Prior to the start of the upcoming “Halloween Wars” season, a behind-the-scenes show titled “Road to Halloween Wars” is set to premiere at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. This show will give insight into how this year’s contestants were chosen.

“Halloween Wars” and “Road to Halloween Wars” are produced by Super Delicious.

As a passionate movie reviewer, I’m thrilled to announce that “Outrageous Pumpkins,” hosted by Damaris Phillips, is set to make its grand return on Sept. 29 at 10 p.m. ET. This time, we have an extraordinary lineup of 14 top-notch carvers from across the nation, each forming teams that will go head-to-head in a series of exhilarating challenges.

“Outrageous Pumpkins” hails from Turn Card Content.

During off-peak hours, I’ve discovered that the Food Network is gearing up for Halloween with some chilling specials! While you might expect spine-tingling shows only during primetime, they’re also serving up spooky episodes of “The Kitchen” and “The Pioneer Woman” as part of their daytime lineup. So grab a snack, settle in, and get ready to enjoy some culinary scares!

Last year, Food Network’s Halloween programming attracted over 28 million viewers, making it one of the top 5 most-watched non-news/sports cable networks for adults aged between 18 and 49 during September and October.

“The spooktacular themes and amazingly creative treats featured on Food Network during Halloween are what make it so iconic, as stated by Betsy Ayala, head of food content at Warner Bros. Discovery. By starting the Halloween programming in September, we can generate excitement among fans earlier and sustain that enthusiasm throughout October, all the way to the end of the year.”
