Annecy Title ‘Panda Bear in Africa’ North American Rights Acquired by Shout! Studios (EXCLUSIVE)

As a seasoned film enthusiast with a penchant for international cinema and a soft spot for animated features, I am thrilled to learn about the upcoming release of “Panda Bear in Africa.” Having traversed various continents myself, I can appreciate the unique blend of cultures and wildlife that this film promises. The storyline, reminiscent of classic adventure tales, resonates with my adventurous spirit, and the positive messages it conveys are a welcome addition to today’s media landscape.

Shout! Studios has obtained the rights for “Panda Bear in Africa” – an animated movie – within North America, courtesy of Cinema Management Group (CMG).

“The Journey of Pang the Panda in Africa”

Richard Claus and Karsten Kiilerich, who are well-known for “The Little Vampire” and “Ruby and Raggie,” take on the roles of director and screenwriter for a movie adaptation of their own tale. Robert Spackling, best known for movies like “Gnomeo & Juliet” and “The Queen’s Corgi,” collaborates in the scriptwriting process.

“The film titled ‘Panda Bear in Africa’ is a joint production between Cool Beans and Katuni from Amsterdam, A. Film Production from Denmark, Comet Film from Germany, and Le Pacte from France. This movie was showcased in the official selection at the 2024 Annecy International Film Festival. The title saw successful distribution across Europe and the Middle East during June.”

As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that this latest acquisition marks our fourth joint project with CMG. Previously, we’ve worked together on “The Canterville Ghost,” “Ainbo: Spirit of the Amazon,” and “The Little Vampire 3D.” Over a multi-year period, this deal gives us exclusive distribution rights throughout North America, covering cinema screens, home entertainment platforms, and multiple digital media outlets in the U.S. and Canada.

I had the pleasure of witnessing a deal being negotiated, masterfully orchestrated by Jordan Fields, the esteemed Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Originals at Shout! Studios, alongside Edward Noeltner, representing CMG, as well as the dedicated producers.

As a passionate cinephile, I’m thrilled to share the news of our collaboration once more with Cinema Management Group on an upcoming family-friendly movie, ‘Panda Bear in Africa’. This film promises a captivating narrative, unforgettable characters, and carries positive messages that will strike a chord with both viewers and parents. I can hardly wait for everyone to experience this entertaining journey!

As president of CMG, Noeltner expressed his joy: “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Melissa, Jordan, and the entire talented Shout! Studios crew on ‘Panda Bear in Africa’ for North America. The Shout! Studios team have consistently delivered outstanding work on our past projects, garnering positive reviews for each film and yielding impressive financial success.”
