Here’s something intriguing: J.J. Abrams is producing a new mystery thriller directed by David Robert Mitchell, known for the acclaimed horror film It Follows. Called The End of Oak Street, it stars Ewan McGregor and Anne Hathaway, and the story feels like something from The Twilight Zone: a family finds their house and the entire street around it have been moved to an unknown location.
Somewhere with … dinosaurs?
Take a look at the first teaser below. Intriguing!!
Mitchell not only directed the film, but also wrote it. He’s also known for his work on other movies like It Follows, the 2010 film The Myth of the American Sleepover, and the 2018 film Under the Silver Lake, which many people consider to be a hidden gem.
Warner Bros. also shared a movie poster, but it’s unusual – it doesn’t feature any actors, just dinosaur footprints! It definitely makes you wonder what the film is about.

Here is the film’s official synopsis:
When a strange event suddenly moves Oak Street and its residents to a completely different and unfamiliar location, the Platt family realizes they must rely on each other to survive and find their way around.
It’s incredibly frustrating when something bizarre happens, like your entire neighborhood being suddenly moved to a strange new location! That’s the premise of the new movie, The End of Oak Street, which comes out August 14th. I wouldn’t be surprised if people immediately start speculating that it’s a secret Cloverfield installment – probably someone’s already written about that possibility, even before I posted this!
