Terminator: Survivors Delayed To 2025

As a die-hard fan of the Terminator franchise who has lived through the highs and lows of this epic saga, I must admit that the news about the delay of Terminator: Survivors has left me with mixed feelings. On one hand, I’m excited about the prospect of exploring a post-apocalyptic world in the shoes of a survivor, fighting against Skynet and its relentless army of Terminators. The open-world gameplay and co-op possibilities sound absolutely thrilling!

The upcoming game by Nacon, titled Terminator: Survivors, promises an unprecedented portrayal of the future war that gamers have yet to experience. However, it appears we’ll have to postpone the much-anticipated event known as Judgment Day. Nacon has officially delayed the game from its initial PC launch on October 24. Now, the Terminator: Survivors game will be available for both PC and consoles in the year 2025.

Marco Ponte, head honcho at Nacom as both CEO and creative director, shared an online post outlining their reasons for requiring additional development time for the upcoming game.

“Postponing the game launch was a challenging move, but we’re confident that extra time will help us deliver the post-apocalyptic world of Terminator as envisioned, upholding the expected quality,” stated Ponte. “On behalf of Nacon Studio Milan, I express our gratitude to the players and fans of the franchise for their excitement towards Terminator: Survivors. We’re thrilled to be part of such a legendary franchise, and can’t wait to share more with you. Thank you all for your support… We will return.”

In contrast to the disjointed narrative of the last two Terminator films, Terminator: Survivors is drawing inspiration from the original installments. This game, titled an open-world adventure, unfolds four years post-Judgment Day when humanity continues to struggle after Skynet’s failed attempt at annihilation. Players can either embark on a single-player journey or team up with others in cooperative mode, scavenging resources to construct a base and launch counterattacks against the machines.

Of course, Skynet isn’t one to back down easily, so you can expect a variety of Terminators, as seen in the movies, to make an appearance in this game.
