As a dedicated Game of Thrones fan and an actor who was part of this epic saga, I can’t help but express my thoughts on the final season. Reflecting on the experience, I believe that certain decisions regarding the storyline and execution could have been handled differently. In conversations with GQ, I shared my viewpoint that the overall exhaustion felt by the entire cast undeniably affected the quality of our performances and the final product. Regarding the series finale, some narrative choices didn’t quite resonate as intended.
He expressed that perhaps the issue with the conclusion of “Thrones” was that everyone was so drained, we couldn’t have endured much more. Consequently, some people felt it wrapped up too quickly, and he might concur. However, he’s not certain there was another option. When he looks at photos from that final season, he appears exhausted, depleted. He didn’t have the strength for another season.
