Mike Colter gives mixed reaction to Luke Cage’s potential Marvel return
While at MegaCon in Orlando, actor Charles Murphy, known for his role in ‘Evil,’ shared that he’d love to reprise his part as Luke Cage.
During a fan Q&A led by Maggie Lovitt from Collider, Mike Colter shared his thoughts on returning to his role as Luke Cage. He expressed happiness for Charlie Cox getting to reprise Daredevil, noting Cox often talks to him about coming back. Colter also said he’d love to revisit Luke Cage, but he’s interested in exploring other characters and projects as well. Ultimately, he wants to return to satisfy the fans, as he knows there were many great story ideas for Luke Cage that never made it to the screen.
Even though Mike Colter was hesitant about reprising his role as Luke Cage in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he has stated that the character remains active in Harlem.
With Krysten Ritter reprising her role as Jessica Jones in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, many Marvel fans are now hoping to see Mike Colter return as Luke Cage in the popular Disney+ show.
Rumors are circulating that the incredibly strong hero will appear briefly in the upcoming second season, alongside Finn Jones as Iron Fist. However, Marvel hasn’t officially announced whether either of them will be returning.
