The Mandalorian And Grogu Being Added To The Millennium Falcon Ride At Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

As a die-hard Star Wars fan who has spent countless hours navigating the galaxy far, far away, this news about The Mandalorian and Grogu joining the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run ride at Disneyland and Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom feels like a dream come true!

D23 came and went without any word about a brand new Star Wars attraction at the Disney parks. But there’s one currently existing ride at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland and Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom that’s going to get a few familiar faces. The Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run ride will feature a new mission that incorporates The Mandalorian and Grogu.

At the D23 Disney Experiences panel, Dave Filoni, a creative executive at Lucasfilm, revealed some exciting news. He explained that Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, which has previously helped Lucasfilm create The Mandalorian using the virtual set called The Volume, will now be utilized to integrate characters like Din Djarin and Grogu into Smuggler’s Run.

In 2026, additional missions will be introduced into Star Wars: Millennium Falcon – Smuggler’s Run, hinted at by Filoni. This isn’t just a coincidence, as The Mandalorian and Grogu film is also scheduled to premiere on May 22, 2026.
