An actor from the Disney+ and Lucasfilm show Andor will be appearing in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Narnia film.
Greta Gerwig is creating a new movie based on C.S. Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia for Netflix, expected to release next year. The film is thought to be based on the book *The Magician’s Nephew* and will feature Emma Mackey and Carey Mulligan.

Denise Gough, known for her role in the series *Andor*, has announced she’ll be appearing in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming *Narnia* film during an appearance on the *We’re Not Kidding with Mehdi & Friends* podcast.
I’m working on a Narnia movie directed by Greta Gerwig,” Gough shared. “I’m playing a villainous character, but that’s alright – it’s a film for kids, so it’s all in good fun.”

Beyond her role as Dedra Meero in Andor, Gough has appeared in numerous TV series, including Titanic: Blood and Steel, Stella, Guerrilla, Under the Banner of Heaven, Who Is Erin Carter?, and The Stolen Girl. She’s also been in films like Robin Hood (2010), Juliet Naked (2018), The Kid Who Would Be King (2019), and the upcoming H Is for Hawk (2025), among other projects.
In Lewis’ *The Magician’s Nephew*, two friends embark on a brave journey to rescue someone, and unexpectedly find themselves transported to a different world. There, they face a wicked sorceress who wants to control them. But hope arrives with Aslan, a powerful lion, whose song helps create a brand-new land called Narnia – a place where anything can happen.
The Narnia movies have earned almost $1.6 billion globally from three films: *The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe* (2005), *Prince Caspian* (2008), and *The Voyage of the Dawn Treader* (2010). The films starred William Moseley, Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes, Georgie Henley, Liam Neeson, Tilda Swinton, James McAvoy, Ben Barnes, Peter Dinklage, and Will Poulter.
Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Narnia film will be shown in IMAX theaters for two weeks in November 2026, and will then become available to stream on Netflix in December.
