With Week 4 of the NFL season approaching, the player ratings for Madden 26 have been updated. We’ve reviewed these changes to highlight the most significant updates this week.

Madden 26 Player Ratings For Week 4

Week 3 #Madden26 Ratings updates have landed!

Who needs a boost next week?

— Madden NFL 26 (@EAMaddenNFL) September 25, 2025

Jahmyr Gibbs, HB (Detroit Lions) – 96 OVR (+1)

The Detroit Lions’ running back combination of Gibbs and Montgomery has been a real challenge for opposing defenses. Although Gibbs only averaged three yards per carry in their 38-30 victory, he scored two touchdowns and gained 99 yards overall. Gibbs remains a key player in Detroit’s powerful offense, and it will be interesting to see if he maintains this level of performance in the coming weeks.

Isaiah Rodgers Sr., CB (Minnesota Vikings) – 80 OVR (+4)

While his overall rating didn’t increase much, Rodgers’ significant boost of 4+ OVR is likely the most impactful change this week. The experienced cornerback had a fantastic game in the Vikings’ 48-10 victory against Cincinnati, scoring two touchdowns and making key defensive plays. He recovered a fumble, intercepted a pass from Jake Browning, and deflected two other passes. Considering his performance, an 80 OVR rating feels a little low for such a valuable addition to the Vikings’ defense.

Derrick Henry, HB (Baltimore Ravens) – 97 OVR (-1)

While losing a single fumble isn’t a huge issue, Henry’s three fumbles in just three games is definitely something the Ravens are watching closely. Considering he’d only fumbled 10 times in 136 previous games, this is a notable change. He’s still a powerful runner and even showed versatility by briefly playing quarterback, but the Ravens will likely want to see if he can hold onto the ball better moving into Week 4.

Henry wasn’t alone in seeing his rating go down; Roquan Smith and Marlon Humphrey also experienced declines.

James Cook, HB (Buffalo Bills) – 92 OVR (+2)

Similar to Jalen Gibbs, James Cook didn’t have a standout rushing performance, though he did score a rushing touchdown. He made a significant contribution with five receptions for 58 yards, which helped the Bills’ offense during their high-scoring game against the Ravens. Cook continues to be a key player for the Bills, taking some of the workload off Josh Allen and helping the defense by providing a reliable receiving threat.

Denzel Ward, CB (Cleveland Browns) – 92 OVR (+1)

Huge props to Ward and the Browns’ defense for shutting down the Packers last week – they only put up 10 points! Ward himself had five tackles, four of them solo, and even knocked down a pass. Honestly, those stats aren’t huge, but it says a lot that quarterbacks actively avoid throwing the ball his way. This week will be a real test though, going up against the Lions’ offense – they’re a tough bunch!

Justin Herbert, QB (Los Angeles Chargers) – 90 OVR (+2)

The Chargers have started the season strong with three consecutive wins in their division. While quarterback Justin Herbert needed 47 pass attempts to reach 300 passing yards, a key injury to Steelers running back Najee Harris made it harder for the Chargers to establish a running game. Herbert has been playing very well, throwing six touchdowns with only one turnover in those three games, and he’s likely to face an easier challenge against the Giants this week.

Additionally, several other players received an increase to their Madden 26 Player Rating:

  • Penei Sewell – 97 OVR (+1)
  • Jonathan Taylor – 90 OVR (+1)
  • Zack Baun – 89 OVR (+1)
  • Jared Goff – 88 OVR (+1)
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba – 88 OVR (+1)
  • Kyren Williams – 87 OVR (+1)
  • Brian Burns – 87 OVR (+1)
  • Jamel Dean – 87 OVR (+1)
  • Baker Mayfield – 86 OVR (+1)
  • David Montgomery – 85 OVR (+1)
  • Jack Campbell – 85 OVR (+1)
  • Caleb Wiliams – 76 OVR (+1)

However, other notable players received a decrease to their Madden 26 Player Rating:

  • Roquan Smith – 94 OVR (-1)
  • Marlon Humphrey – 91 OVR (-1)
  • Josh Jacobs – 89 OVR (-1)
  • Stefon Diggs – 87 OVR (-1)
  • Lavonte David – 87 OVR (-1)
  • Nick Chubb – 86 OVR (-1)
  • Justin Reid – 85 OVR (-2)
  • Bobby Okereke – 84 OVR (-1)
  • Aaron Jones Sr. – 83 OVR (-1)
  • Brian Thomas Jr. – 82 OVR (-1)

Week 3 of the NFL season kicked off last night with a Buffalo Bills victory over the Miami Dolphins. The Bills continue their winning streak, while the Dolphins are still searching for their first win. However, with plenty of games left to play, the season is far from decided.
