God Of War: Ragnarök's PC Port Unveiled Huge God-Like Storage Size

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that Santa Monica Studio’s latest offering, God of War: Ragnarök, has left me both excited and slightly overwhelmed. The game’s upcoming PC release on Epic Games Store and Steam has been a long-awaited announcement for many in the PC gaming community, myself included.

As a diehard fan, I’m thrilled to announce that Santa Monica Studio’s masterpiece, God of War: Ragnarök, has finally unveiled its PC requirements ahead of its grand release in September 2024! This epic action-adventure game initially stormed the PlayStation scene in November 2022, and now, it’s set to conquer the PC realm via both Epic Games Store and Steam.

As someone who has been gaming for decades and witnessed the evolution of game sizes firsthand, I must say that the upcoming God of War: Ragnarök is a testament to just how far we’ve come in terms of graphics, storytelling, and immersion. However, as a PC player with limited storage space, I can’t help but feel a pang of apprehension when I see the sizeable download required for this epic adventure. Having lived through countless hard drive upgrades and storage management dilemmas, I know all too well that freeing up enough space to accommodate such a massive game can be challenging, especially if you’re planning to jump into Kratos and Atreus’ next journey across the Nine Realms while Odin gears up for the prophesied battle that will end the world. But alas, I am willing to make the necessary sacrifices and embark on this new adventure with anticipation and excitement, knowing that the rewards will surely outweigh the challenges.

Lately, Santa Monica Studio disclosed the system requirements for the long-awaited PC version of God of War: Ragnarök, which they initially announced during PlayStation State of Play in May 2024. Approximately a month post-release, these requirements have been made public, featuring compatibility with “leading graphics cards” and an upgrade to the game’s storage demands.

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I have to say that I find it both fascinating and somewhat challenging when it comes to the storage requirements for PC games. Having grown up playing games on consoles where the storage limitations were more or less fixed, the flexibility and potential for expansion offered by PC gaming has always intrigued me.

Initially, it’s important to note that God of War: Ragnarök won’t be Steam Deck verified at its launch, as per its current listing on Steam, which might be disheartening for owners of the Steam Deck. Additionally, players will need an active PlayStation Network (PSN) account in order to play this game, a requirement that has been under scrutiny recently following the controversy surrounding Helldivers 2.
