Fields of Mistria (FoM) - Multiplayer and Coop Explained

As a seasoned fan of farming sims, I must say that Fields of Mistria (FoM) has piqued my interest since its early access release. The game, reminiscent of gems like Stardew Valley, offers an engaging blend of farming, romance, and combat – all elements that resonate with my virtual agricultural heart.

The game titled Fields of Mistria was recently launched in early access. This new release has been met with enthusiasm by fans who enjoy fantasy farming simulations such as Stardew Valley. Similar to these games, Fields of Mistria offers standard genre features like engaging characters you can romance, enemies, mining, and crafting. However, the community is eager for additional functionalities. In one of our previous articles, we discussed the developers’ perspectives on console releases. Today, let’s delve into multiplayer and cooperative play.

Fields of Mistria (FoM) – Multiplayer and Coop Explained

Many gamers express interest in incorporating multiplayer mode into Fields of Mistria. The allure of playing with friends or strangers is strong for many enthusiasts, but unfortunately, it appears the developers have no plans to implement this feature at the moment.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but notice that the creators at NPC Studio haven’t spoken publicly about the multiplayer mode for the game. The fact that there’s no information available might be an intentional move on their part. Strangely enough, they’ve omitted any mention of co-op play in their FAQ on the official site or in the roadmap listed on Steam.

Implementing multiplayer isn’t a walk in the park, but it’s definitely doable. A great example of this is Stardew Valley; the developer added co-op mode about two years after its initial release. Therefore, while it may not happen immediately, there’s a strong possibility that Fields of Mistria will eventually incorporate multiplayer, given that the developers haven’t explicitly stated they won’t.

At present, gamers have the opportunity to voice their requirements directly to the game creators. Since we’re still in the early access phase, there’s a lot of room for adjustments and improvements according to player feedback.
