CoD: Black Ops 6 Zombies Terminus Map Trailer Reveals New Story Details

As a die-hard Call of Duty fan with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the latest trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has me absolutely thrilled! The return to Zombies mode and the introduction of the Terminus map have me itching to get back into the action.

Later this year, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released, featuring all-new round-based Zombie maps. A fresh cinematic trailer for the Terminus map provides a narrative setup following the closing scene of the final Zombies cutscene in Black Ops Cold War. Here’s a rundown of what we discovered from the trailer unveiling.

In the climactic stages of Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies narrative, players joined forces with the Requiem team to thwart the menace posed by the Forsaken and the Dark Aether. However, this triumph was not without its heavy toll: Agent Samantha Maxis gave her life to securely close the Dark Aether gateway. Tragically, the entire Requiem squad was apprehended by a character later identified as Edward Richtofen, who had been posing as the “Director.”

In about five years from now, the narrative of Black Ops 6 unfolds on a secluded prison island under cover of night, which serves as the map called Terminus. This is where the Requiem team, consisting of Weaver, Carver, Strauss, Dr. Elizabeth Grey, and the pilot codenamed Raptor One, find themselves behind bars. Notably, this crew appears significantly more muscular compared to their depiction in Black Ops Cold War.

In the series Requiem, there’s an intense prison break that occurs, orchestrated mainly by Dr. William Peck, their adversary in Black Ops Cold War, and a fresh character, Maya Aguinaldo. Peck requires the help of Requiem to track down Richtofen, while Maya has a personal motive for the mission since she reveals her involvement extends to rescuing her brother from the island as part of a deal. However, their plans are abruptly halted due to a sudden zombie infestation.

Among the two zombie maps verified for the debut of Black Ops 6, Terminus is one of them. The second map is called Liberty Falls, and both maps will feature interconnected narratives that unfold simultaneously in the same setting.

As an enthusiastic fan, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be privy to some exciting gameplay details about Black Ops 6 Zombies on August 8! The Call of Duty: Next event on the 28th will unveil more multiplayer aspects and even live gameplay. Rumors have been swirling about Black Ops 6, hinting at a potential new Warzone map, and an innovative mechanic that allows players to utilize their adversaries as protective shields! Can’t wait to see what else is in store!

As a longtime fan of Call of Duty, I eagerly anticipate the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 this year, especially since it will be available across multiple platforms including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Having grown up playing previous iterations of the series on various consoles, I can’t wait to immerse myself once again in the thrilling world of Black Ops. The fact that this new game will be released later this year on October 25 means I won’t have to wait much longer to experience the latest installment in this iconic franchise. Whether you’re a seasoned Call of Duty player or a newcomer to the series, there’s no denying the excitement that surrounds the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
