‘John Wick’ Sequel Series in the Works at Lionsgate Television

As a jaded, cynical movie reviewer who’s seen more action films than I care to remember, I must admit that the news of a “John Wick” TV series has piqued my interest. Having spent countless nights hunched over popcorn-stained cinema floors, I’ve witnessed Keanu Reeves’ iconic character transform from a grieving widower to an unstoppable assassin.

It’s been confirmed by EbMaster that a continuation of the “John Wick” saga, in the form of a TV series, is being developed by Lionsgate Television right now.

At present, no network or streaming platform has secured the rights for “John Wick: Under the High Table” series, as Lionsgate is actively seeking a buyer. The show, provisionally named “John Wick: Under the High Table,” will continue the story directly following the events of “John Wick: Chapter 4.”

“John Wick’s departure from the High Table has left its standing precarious, opening opportunities for fresh characters to emerge and establish their own reputations. Meanwhile, some familiar faces from the franchise will continue to uphold the traditional order. The series will blend old and new elements, propelling the Wick universe into a modern era.”

Keanu Reeves is set to oversee the production of this upcoming series, joined by Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee from Thunder Road. Chad Stahelski will also be involved in the executive production, directing the pilot through his company 87Eleven. Robert Levine, known for “The Old Man” and “Black Sails”, will take on the roles of writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Lionsgate Television is set to produce the series, having distributed all the “John Wick” movies so far.
