As a veteran movie buff with an affinity for offbeat comedies and metal music, I am beyond excited about the upcoming release of “Heavier Trip”! Having spent countless hours headbanging to Impaled Rektum’s symphonic post-apocalyptic, reindeer-grinding tunes, I can confidently say that this sequel is a must-watch for any fan. The prospect of these extreme war pagan Fennoscandic metalists embarking on a journey to the legendary Wacken festival while evading a murderous prison guard has me on the edge of my seat! It’s like they read my mind and decided to create a movie tailored just for me. To top it off, the fact that Music Box Films, known for their eclectic slate of arthouse cinema and mainstream comedy, is distributing this masterpiece, leaves no doubt in my mind that “Heavier Trip” will be a smashing success. Now, if only I could get my hands on an Impaled Rektum tour t-shirt for the upcoming North American tour… maybe they’ll let me join as their roadie! Just kidding, or am I? \m/
Doppelgänger Releasing, a genre label under Music Box Films, has secured distribution rights for the North American release of the quirky Finnish comedy “Heavier Trip,” directed by Juuso Laatio and Jukka Vidgren. This film brings back the Heavy Metal band Impaled Rektum to our screens once more. The global sales rights are being managed by Charades.
