Zac Efron Says He Is ‘Happy and Healthy’ After Brief Hospitalization for Swimming Incident in Spain

As a seasoned moviegoer who’s seen more than my fair share of Hollywood dramas and comedies, I can’t help but feel a twinge of concern for our beloved Zac Efron. The news of his hospitalization due to a swimming incident has certainly put a damper on the excitement surrounding his latest adventures in Spain.

On Sunday, Zac Efron posted a note on his Instagram stories, following the media reports about his recent hospitalization due to a swimming accident that happened in Spain several days ago.

“Happy and healthy,” Efron wrote. “Thanks for the well wishes.”

On Friday evening, it was reported that an incident involving swimming occurred with the actor at a villa in Ibiza, which was later verified by his representative to People magazine.

Efron was admitted to the hospital for preventive reasons and was discharged on Saturday morning. A representative confirmed to People that he’s doing well.

Efron’s representatives failed to provide a response regarding EbMaster’s request for comment. It was TMZ who initially broke the news about Efron’s hospital stay.

During a trip to Spain, the actor known as “Iron Claw” was spotted at DJ Martin Garrix’s performance held at Ushuaïa Ibiza Hotel and Beach Club. Footage from the event circulated online, showing Efron joining Garrix on stage and whipping up the audience into a frenzy.

Efron’s latest works encompass movies such as “A Family Affair” on Netflix, “Ricky Stanicky”, “The Greatest Beer Run Ever”, and “The Iron Claw”.

In another movie production by A24, titled “Famous,” directed by Jody Hill, Zac Efron is expected to appear. This upcoming film is adapted from Blake Crouch’s 2010 novel of the same name. In this double role, Efron will portray both a passionate movie enthusiast named Lance Dunkquist and a prominent Hollywood star called James Jansen.

The film focuses on an individual named Lance, who may not shine in everyday life but bears a striking resemblance to the famous actor James Jansen, having been mistaken for him as many as 228 times. With this uncanny likeness as his advantage, Lance is now planning to venture into Los Angeles, aiming to turn his dreams of stardom into reality, regardless of the challenges that lie ahead.
