As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must admit that the recent performance of Team Liquid in the BLAST Fall Groups 2024 event has left me utterly astounded. The way they took down the seemingly invincible NAVI was nothing short of spectacular!
At the BLAST Fall Groups 2024 event in Group D, there’s been some thrilling Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports games. Team Liquid stunned spectators by outplaying top contenders NAVI in an unexpected victory. In the lower part of Group D, NAVI needed to fight their way back and emerged victorious against BIG, with Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen leading the charge effortlessly.
Navigating smoothly past Big, Navi secured a tidy 2-0 win. In the initial half of their selection of Dust2 on Big’s map, Navi took the lead on the defensive side (CT).
One standout feature is the stunning gunplay, particularly using the less common R8 Revolver, skillfully executed by the elusive player from Lithuania, Justinas “jL” Lekavičius. Catch his four kills in the second round of Dust2 here.
In the end, NAVI clinched a clear-cut victory with a 13-7 score on Dust2. On their chosen map, Mirage, they displayed complete control over BIG, even though Rigon “rigoN” Gashi from the German team put up a valiant fight.
In the first half, NAVI dominated the CT side impressively, ending with a commanding 9-3 score. They shut out BIG entirely in the second half, securing a resounding 13-3 triumph.
In the concluding match of Group D, NAVI is set for a repeat encounter with Team Liquid. The winner of this clash will secure a spot in the BLAST Fall Final 2024 event directly, while the loser will need to battle it out in the Play-In stage on Sunday.
