Dead by Daylight's August Update Is Full Of Killer Buffs

As a long-time survivor of the Dead by Daylight universe, I’ve seen my fair share of terrifying killers and narrow escapes. But today, oh boy, it feels like the tables have turned! The latest developer update has given some serious buffs to my nemeses, and I can’t help but feel a tinge of dread creeping up my spine.

In the latest August update for Dead by Daylight, significant enhancements (buffs) have been made to several killers such as The Dredge, Doctor, and Nemesis.

The most significant alterations are being made to the Dredge character, granting him increased movement speed in specific scenarios, quicker teleportation speed, and a reduced teleportation cool-down period.

Developers have made The Dredge move faster, whether it’s charging its power or teleporting outside of Nightfall, to provide a small power and overall improvement. Since The Dredge might struggle to utilize the reduced visibility in Nightfall due to their prominent sound effects, the developers have decreased their volume levels.

In addition to the Doctor, the cooldown for his Static Blast is decreased significantly, enhancing his overall effectiveness in current gameplay scenarios, thereby improving his capacity to locate survivors more efficiently.

Developers said that the updates should make the killer’s Static Blast “feel better to use.”

Doctor buff is actually huge! This is a 25% decrease on base Static Blast time (15 seconds) and a whopping FIFTY PERCENT decrease on the current recharge time if you miss!
Actually might stop running Whispers on Doctor now!

Alterations to The Nemesis are relatively subtle, yet undeniably enhance his strength. He’ll require fewer Mutation Points for his advancement to Level 2, a detail developers mention as beneficial for quicker progression.

Infected survivors will encounter a prolonged impediment, making it simpler for The Nemesis to eliminate them more efficiently.

In addition to the latest developer updates, there’s an enhancement on Scratch Marks visibility and modifications to Midwich Elementary School layout, making the map easier to navigate vertically.
