As a lifelong fan of Pharrell Williams and his music, I couldn’t be more excited to witness the closing of this year’s BFI London Film Festival with the premiere of “Piece by Piece.” Having grown up listening to his groundbreaking work with N*E*R*D., The Neptunes, and as a solo artist, it feels surreal to see his life story brought to life in such an innovative way.

Initially, it was announced that Steve McQueen’s World War II drama “Blitz” would kick off the 68th festival. Now, it’s been disclosed that Pharrell William’s animated Lego biopic, titled “Piece by Piece,” will bring the event to a close.
