Hit Format ‘I Can See Your Voice’ Set for 30th Local Adaptation – Global Bulletin

VOICE GROWING LOUDER

As an admirer of the dynamic world of entertainment and the powerful stories it weaves, I find myself captivated by the recent developments in the industry. The adaptation of “I Can See Your Voice” in Singapore, a testament to its global appeal, promises an exciting blend of suspense, talent, and family-friendly entertainment.

The popular mystery music show, “I Can See Your Voice,” which has been successful for South Korea’s CJ ENM, is about to resonate differently as it prepares for its 30th local version in Singapore.

Mediacorp will be adapting a show where contestants lip-sync and use body language, leaving it up to guests to decide if they’re genuinely gifted singers or not. The goal is to weed out the less talented singers and let the skilled ones shine, ultimately crowning the winner.

The book has been published with regional adaptations in nations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Thailand, and the Philippines.

“I’m thrilled to announce that the revamped show is all set to offer our viewers a fun-filled, family-friendly spectacle for several weeks. Apart from the usual thrill and anticipation that comes with game shows, viewers can also expect an extraordinary display of raw talent beyond just singing abilities,” said Virginia Lim, the chief content officer at Mediacorp.

SCAM SCANDAL SERIES

In Australia, the production company Lingo Pictures has obtained the rights to transform journalist Rick Morton’s book “Mean Streak” into a screen adaptation. This mini-series, titled “Robodebt,” is currently being developed for both ABC iview and ABC TV. The story unfolds as an emotionally gripping account of one of Australia’s most significant and widespread government mishaps in history – the Robodebt scandal. This scandal, infamously known as one of the largest in Australian history, led to the country’s biggest class action, costing the federal government approximately A$1.8 billion ($1.18 billion), and resulted in compensation for over half a million individuals.

Lingo Pictures has acquired the rights to a yet-to-be-published book by Morton, which was previously held by HarperCollins. The writing team for the series will be headed by Stuart Page, known for his work on “Total Control”, with Magda Wozniak (“The Messenger”) and Sophie Miller (“Family Law”) also joining. Helen Bowden will produce the project for Lingo Pictures, while Jason Stephens and Stuart Page will serve as executive producers. ITV Studios will be in charge of distributing the series internationally.

“Helen Bowden from Lingo stated, ‘This is one of the most significant injustices in Australia’s history, and we will concentrate on the personal narratives. These include mothers who lost their sons to suicide due to grief, a dedicated Centerlink worker who spoke up after years of loyalty, and digital activists who exposed the scandal.’ “

RIIZE UP

RIIZE, one of the most exciting new K-pop groups, is set to aim for a global fanbase by live streaming its “RIIZE Fan-Con Tour ‘Riizing Day’ Finale in Cinemas” performance. This event is produced by SM Entertainment and marks the end of a tour that has seen the group perform in cities such as Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Manila. The performance will take place in Seoul, South Korea, and will be broadcast live by Trafalgar Releasing and CJ 4Dplex on Sept. 15, Korean Standard Time. Due to time differences, the broadcast will be delayed in some markets, such as North America and Europe.

Under the roster of Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Sohee, and Anton, RIIZE has made a swift entrance into the music scene. Their inaugural single “Get A Guitar” garnered more than a million physical pre-orders. Remarkably, they secured a contract with RCA Records prior to their official debut. Before even making their debut, RIIZE broke the record for the quickest-growing K-pop group on Instagram, amassing 1 million followers just four days after account creation. (Their fans refer to themselves as BRIIZE, which sounds like ‘breeze’). Most recently, RIIZE has also been appointed ambassadors for Louis Vuitton, an honor they received mere months after their debut.
