As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent navigating the treacherous lands of FromSoftware games, I must say that the latest update for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has been a breath of fresh air. The buffs to ashes and various equipment have made my journey through the expansive world a tad less daunting.
Update 1.13 has been released for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Unlike the last one, this update brings in numerous adjustments. The balance between Player versus Player (PvP) and Player versus Environment (PvE) has been improved, and enhancements have been made to various aspects of equipment, abilities, and ashes. Mostly, these changes are buffs, making progress through the expansion slightly smoother.
Elden Ring – changes in patch 1.13
Based on my extensive experience as a seasoned adventurer, I can confidently say that the upcoming changes to the Revered Spirit Ashes will significantly impact the way we approach combat. Having faced countless enemies and summoned these ashes numerous times, I have seen firsthand their potential for destruction and resilience.
Certain ashes require additional impacts to tip over (meaning they possess greater stability), receiving a boost in their health reserves. Admittedly, these enhancements are substantial, and they’ll undoubtedly simplify battles against formidable foes.
Apart from ashes, multiple modifications impacted 11 weapons, 16 abilities, 7 spells, 9 incantations, and numerous Ash of War options as well. These changes encompass both enhancements and some cases of adjustments or nerfs. For a comprehensive breakdown, please refer to the information provided on the publisher’s official site.
In a fascinating twist, players have been drawn to a modification in the confirmation buttons displayed when attempting to invoke a spectral Torrent. Earlier, the ‘cancel’ button was pre-selected, necessitating an extra step in the heat of battle, which could be quite frustrating. Now, fortunately, the default option is the ‘ok’ button, making gameplay smoother. It’s remarkable that it took FromSoftware studio over two years to implement this change.
On June 21st, the “Shadow of the Erdtree” expansion for the game “Elden Ring” became available for play on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One platforms.
