Usher Concert Film Headed to Movie Theaters

As a devoted fan of Usher, I am beyond excited for his latest concert film, “Usher: Rendezvous in Paris.” Having followed his career for decades, I have had the pleasure of witnessing his electrifying performances and charismatic stage presence firsthand. Usher’s music has been a constant source of joy and inspiration in my life, and I can only imagine how breathtaking it must be to experience him live in Paris, the City of Love.

In the fall, a film adaptation of Usher’s most recent concert tour will hit the cinema screens with its lively and dynamic performances.

The film “Usher: Rendezvous in Paris” is set to be released in cinemas starting September 12. Approximately 2,000 theaters around the world are anticipated to screen it during its limited run.

The movie titled “Rendezvous in Paris” takes inspiration from the defining cultural spectacles of Usher’s Vegas residencies, blending a captivating French style with intimate confessions, as stated in a press release. Filmed during Paris Fashion Week at La Seine Musicale and directed by Anthony Mandler, this production showcases Usher performing popular songs such as “Yeah,” “My Boo,” and “Love In This Club.” It offers viewers an exclusive look into his life off-stage.

1. “Paris was a unique and memorable event for me as an entertainer and my audience,” Usher expressed in a statement. “I wish those who couldn’t attend could feel the same magic. For those who did, I hope you gained a fresh perspective on the show by seeing what it takes to reach that level.”

The concert film is set to be released in the U.S. and worldwide through a collaboration between Trafalgar Releasing and AMC Theatres Distribution. AMC and Odeon will play crucial roles in promoting the film both domestically and internationally. This move comes after the successful releases of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” and “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” for AMC. According to AMC’s chairman, Adam Aron, the company plans to release between two and three concert films annually, and they have recently strengthened their distribution team to support this initiative.

“Usher has enchanted and amused crowds with his music and live shows for three decades. Recently, he received outstanding praise for his breathtaking appearance before an audience of 129 million during the Super Bowl Half Time Show. Offering his exceptional concert experience to moviegoers worldwide through AMC Theatres Distribution is a brilliant match,” Aron expressed in a press release.
