As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I have to admit that I was initially disappointed by the lukewarm reception of the Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown demo version. However, despite the concerns raised by the gaming community, Nacon has chosen to press on with the game’s release, which is scheduled for September 12 on PC, PS5, and XSX/S.
In spite of a disappointing response to the June demo of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, Nacon shows no signs of postponing its launch on September 12 (for PC, PS5, and XSX/S). A fresh trailer was unveiled today, aiming to enhance the initial impression by accentuating the game’s major selling points – the opulent ambiance, browsing through extravagant car dealerships, and savoring the experience of driving the world’s elite automobiles amidst breathtaking (hypothetically) scenic landscapes.
Ferrari trailer
Today, a new video has been unveiled with the title “The Collector“, starring none other than Ferrari – an embodiment of opulence, allure, and exorbitant pricing. In this production called “TDU: Solar Crown“, ten esteemed Ferrari models will make their appearance.
- Ferrari 250 GTO
- Ferrari Dino 246 GTS
- Ferrari 308 GTS
- Ferrari F40
- Ferrari Enzo Ferrari
- Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spider 16M
- Ferrari FXX-K Evo
- Ferrari 812 Superfast
- Ferrari Portofino
- Ferrari 488 Pista
It will constitute a significant portion of the game’s vehicle fleet, which currently includes around 80 confirmed cars. Interestingly, the first six of the Ferrari cars listed above were transferred from 2011’s Test Drive Unlimited 2, with studio KT Racing adding only four pieces from itself. So if you get the impression that some models lack detail more than others – that’s the reason.

While viewing the trailer, don’t forget to notice the clips featuring the garage, where the Ferraris are kept. According to the developer, players will have the opportunity to access a “real-life” area where they can retrieve their possessions for rides. However, please be aware that, at launch, there won’t be an option to buy houses (supposedly, they’ll be added later).
