As a long-time fan of the Fatal Fury series, I couldn’t contain my excitement when SNK announced that Billy Kane would be joining the roster for City Of The Wolves! I remember staying up late as a kid playing Fatal Fury 3 on my Sega Genesis, trying to master Billy’s moves and take down Terry Bogard. His return feels like a nostalgic homecoming.
At ChinaJoy 2024 in Shanghai, I was thrilled to learn that SNK had another surprise up its sleeve for the Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves roster. Just a few days after announcing Kevin Rian’s return at Evo 2024, they unveiled none other than Billy Kane! This bo-staff-wielding adversary of mine, Terry Bogard, and I will go head to head once more in this new game. Can’t wait to see how the battle unfolds!
In the unveiling video, Billy is depicted wielding his bo staff in combat to amplify the reach of his strikes. Some of his signature maneuvers are highlighted in the trailer, such as his helicopter spin attack, while he also has the ability to infuse the staff with fire for enhanced damage and spectacular combinations.
In City of the Wolves, Billy takes over the Howard Connection from Geese Howard following his defeat and demise. He nurtures a strong desire for vengeance against Terry due to Terry being responsible for Geese’s death.
I’m thrilled to be the latest addition to the City of The Wolves team, joining the ranks of Kevin Rian, Marco Rodrigues, and B. Jenet. With my past appearances in Fatal Fury and King of Fighters games, I’ve built up quite a reputation. Most recently, I’ve been playable as a downloadable fighter in The King of Fighters XV.
At the gaming event Evo 2024 last weekend, SNK revealed that they would be bringing back SNK Vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos for PC and console users. The game, which was initially released long ago, is now available once more. Meanwhile, in other fighting game updates, fans are excited as Heihachi Mishima will make a comeback in Tekken 8 despite being left for dead in the previous installment. Additionally, Guilty Gear Strive has announced its first guest character–Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners–as part of their upcoming Season 4 content.
The game “Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves” is planned to be released for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and computers in early 2025.
