As a seasoned movie critic with a deep appreciation for the rich tapestry of television history, I can’t help but be thoroughly impressed by Kim Fields‘ illustrious career. From her humble beginnings on iconic shows like “Good Times,” “Diff’rent Strokes,” and “The Facts of Life,” to her more recent roles in Netflix’s “The Upshaws” and the indie film “The Gutter,” Fields has proven herself to be a versatile and enduring talent.
According to our exclusive source, EbMaster, Kim Fields has recently joined Independent Artist Group (IAG) for their theatrical, literary, and directorial representation.
Art Rutter, the founder of Critical Mass Management, and his company, continue to manageFields’ field in the capacity of her producing partner. In addition, JCPR represents her in this role. For commercials and endorsement deals, Fields is represented by Innovative Artists.
Originally, she began her career as an actress, appearing on beloved shows such as “Good Times,” “Diff’rent Strokes,” “The Facts of Life,” and “Living Single.” More recently, her acting credits include the Netflix comedy series “The Upshaws,” which is set to conclude with its fifth season. Additionally, she featured in the independent film “The Gutter,” which premiered at SXSW earlier this year.
Fields has achieved notable success in the roles of director and producer. She has overseen direction for around 160 television episodes so far, with her earliest directing assignment being on “Living Single.” Moreover, she has directed several episodes of “The Upshaws,” as well as starring and acting as a consulting producer. Her other directing credits include “Insecure,” “Extended Family,” “Haus of Vicious,” “All The Queen’s Men,” and “That Girl Lay Lay.” She served as an executive producer on “Haus of Vicious” and a consulting producer on “All the Queen’s Men.” Fields directed close to 100 episodes for Tyler Perry’s productions, “House of Payne” and “Meet the Browns.”
