The Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: Autopiloting and Altercating

As a longtime fan of the Real Housewives franchise and someone who has watched Teresa Giudice’s antics since the early days of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” I can’t help but feel a mix of amusement, frustration, and disbelief when it comes to her latest predicament with the lawsuit. Now, let me tell you something, I’ve seen it all: the drama, the lies, the rumors, the allegations, and the apologies. But Teresa, my dear, you can’t have your cake and eat it too.

As a movie lover, I’ve always been intrigued by Jennifer Constance Aydin’s (not her real name) interviews on this show. But in last night’s episode, she surprised me with something that left me utterly stunned. Her words were so deliciously vile, so enticing in their disgustingness, that I had to double-check I hadn’t misheard. She ordered, “I’ll have the garlic-knot chicken parm.” Hang on a minute, what on earth is that? I’m no stranger to type 2 diabetes, but this dish sounded like a heart attack on a plate.

As a food enthusiast who has traveled far and wide in search of unique and delicious dishes, I must confess that my recent discovery left me utterly astounded. I had always believed that the classic chicken parmigiana, a beloved Italian-American staple, was served on a traditional Italian roll or bread. Boy, was I wrong!

At Capital Craft’s recently honored Michelin-starred restaurant, an intriguing event unfolded beyond the innovative cuisine. Jen took this opportunity to address long-standing issues with Teresa. It’s no surprise that Teresa hasn’t supported Jen in the past; her self-centered behavior has been a constant throughout her life. Reminiscent of Donald Trump, Teresa constructs her own version of reality, surrounds herself with sycophants, insists on involving her mediocre family in all aspects of her endeavors, demands unwavering loyalty, drags down those around her to her level, and once they become irrelevant, she discards them without offering assistance or support.

I’ve watched this show, and Jen’s behavior is truly disappointing. She keeps insisting that Teresa has wronged her, feeling the need to confront her without considering the facts or the merit of Teresa’s side. This pattern of behavior from Jen, as well as some of the other women, is what makes this show a real letdown. It feels like they’re all operating on autopilot, blindly defending their sides no matter how outlandish their arguments become.

During the lunch, Teresa appears to agree with Jen’s perspective and acknowledges that Jen is a better friend to her than Danielle. However, Teresa couldn’t stand up for Jen at that moment because she was preparing to captivate the audience with her diary entries at the “Nasty Women’s” live podcast recording. Essentially, the issue was set aside. Nonetheless, Jen mentioned that she frequently observes Teresa engaging in heated arguments or altercations. I find the term “altercating” an excellent addition to this program since “ingredientses” was a memorable phrase as well.

As a movie buff, I’d put it this way: I can see Teresa is really anxious about the ongoing court case between Luis and his ex-therapist, Bo Deitl. She’s pushing for a permanent restraining order due to allegations that Bo sent a patient to harass her about her relationship with Luis. Frankly, given what we know about Luis and Bo Deitl so far – contacting John Fuda’s ex, calling Marge’s son at work – this whole situation seems like something they both might be involved in. But I have my doubts that Teresa is giving the full picture. The tension around this issue is taking a toll on her, and she’s not eating well or handling stress effectively. The concern is that the season’s filming won’t wrap up before the case is resolved, preventing Teresa from sharing the truth about Marge’s role in the lawsuit. I believe there’s some truth to Marge’s involvement, but I also think Teresa might be jumping to conclusions about her without all the facts.

Teresa expresses her concern about the lawsuit to Gia during her LSAT study sessions, explaining that Luis’s ex is spreading harmful rumors about him. “It’s not right to spread false information and intentionally harm someone,” Teresa states. However, her past actions, such as the rumors she started about Evan Goldschneider and Melissa, come under scrutiny. Teresa was also involved in spreading rumors about Danielle cheating on Joe to cause distress. Yet, she insists, “We don’t spread rumors to harm people.” In response, I offer a new rumor: Teresa purchases her underwear from Dollar Tree. This allegation is, in my opinion, an accurate one.

Regarding Marge, Joe Gorga and Melissa visited her home to help fell a deceased tree in the Josephs-Benigno backyard. Previously employed as a landscaper, Joe Gorga, and Joe Benigno undertook this task outside. Meanwhile, indoors, Marge shared concerns with Melissa about Joe Benigno’s possible prostate cancer diagnosis. I apologize for my previous insensitive remarks about this condition, which I referred to as the “easiest” of cancers. I now understand that all types of cancer are devastating and cause immense suffering. My heart goes out to both Joe and Marge during this challenging time. Joe Benigno is a beloved figure, an exceptional partner to Marge, and he deserves nothing but the best care and support in his recovery process.

As a movie buff, I’ve seen my fair share of unconventional conversations between TV characters. At Rachel’s extravagant slumber party, Jen Aydin shared an unusual detail about her health routine. She mentioned “milking the prostate,” making a suggestive gesture with her hand and rightfully so, piquing the women’s interest. However, from my understanding, this procedure involves more than just a handjob. I’ve personally experienced a prostate milking session, and let me tell you, it’s an extraordinary feeling that every man should try at least once.

Instead of that small setback, the pajama party is a relaxed and enjoyable gathering. All attendees get along well; Jen Fessler and Rachel have put their past disagreements behind them. The main attraction is Danielle’s late arrival with a custom-made sheet cake adorned with mini wafer cookies depicting each guest. However, she also brought an imperfect representation of Jen Aydin on the cake. This figure had messy hair, a questionable nose job, and a bad attitude. The guests joked about it being Jen, but Danielle remained tight-lipped. We all recognized what it was – immature antics that we should be embracing. Let’s avoid autopilot behavior and unnecessary conflicts. Instead, let’s focus on the silly cake mishap, knowing that, soon enough, it will join Melissa’s famous sprinkle cookies in the trash.
