As a long-time Fortnite player, I’ve seen my fair share of collaborations in the game. Some have left me excited and eager to jump back in, while others have left me feeling underwhelmed or even disappointed.
Some Fortnite players hold the perspective that eliminating collaborators from beloved tunes won’t dampen their excitement. One might say “I did well with that collaboration, I may not use them again,” while another exclaims “I own the entire collection!” The question remains: Does Fortnite and its developers create excessive hype around collaborations to cause disappointment upon removal, or are collaborations desired for reasons beyond just gameplay?
