It’s a delicate game – working with one group could ruin your standing with others if you’re not careful. There’s a thrill in successfully finishing a mission, escaping on a speeder bike, and then jumping to a new planet to cause more trouble.
Horizon: Forbidden West Offers a Sci-Fi Experience Unlike Anything Else
The Horizon series is a standout sci-fi franchise on PlayStation, and Forbidden West significantly improves upon the original game. In this new installment, Aloy ventures into the dangerous Forbidden West to uncover the source of a mysterious blight threatening the land. She’ll team up with familiar allies and delve deeper into the history of the world before her time to save everything.

Sequels often fail to live up to expectations when they focus too much on being bigger and better, losing sight of what made the first game special. But The Outer Worlds 2 avoids this trap. It keeps everything fans enjoyed about the original while also improving on some of its weaknesses. For example, the sequel doesn’t rely on constant jokes, instead offering a more streamlined story with the same sharp critique of unchecked capitalism.
I’m really excited about The Outer Worlds 2! You play as a space agent sent to figure out what’s causing these crazy rifts between dimensions – basically, you’re trying to save the universe. From what I’ve seen, it’s keeping all the fun, unique weapons from the first game, and the stories and characters are shaping up to be some of the best we’ll see all year. Plus, they’re adding a third-person perspective, which is awesome! Honestly, there’s no reason not to check out this sci-fi adventure.
Nier: Automata Proves Sci-Fi Doesn’t Have to Be About Humans
Honestly, when I first heard Square-Enix and Platinum Games were teaming up, I was a little skeptical. But then Nier: Automata came out, and wow, it completely blew me away! It’s a masterpiece. As a fan of Yoko Taro’s Drakengard world, I was so excited to jump back in. Nier: Automata is just…different. It really leans into everything that makes Yoko Taro unique. You play as 2B, fighting machines to try and save humanity, but it’s set way, way in the future, and it’s an experience unlike anything else I’ve played.
Though Nier: Automata appears to be a standard action JRPG, it offers surprising variety. PlatinumGames is known for seamlessly changing up gameplay, and this title is a prime example – players can shift from fast-paced action to side-scrolling sections, keeping the experience fresh and engaging.
The game is incredibly replayable, and each time you play, you’ll uncover even more of its rich and interesting backstory. Nier: Automata is a true classic, but it lands at number five simply because the other games on this list offer truly unique experiences you won’t find anywhere else.
Cyberpunk 2077 Is The Ideal Futuristic GTA Experience
